HDMI connection computer TV no sound?

After connecting the TV with the HDMI cable, there is no sound on the TV, but the HDMI cable itself supports sound and audio transmission. Why?

This phenomenon is mainly caused by several reasons:

1, HDMI graphics card does not have a built-in sound card, this is more common in the NVIDIA chipset graphics card, with this graphics card, you need to The SPDIF output of the motherboard sound card is connected with the SPDIF input of the graphics card (usually the graphics card will provide this wire, there will be a wiring diagram), otherwise, the HDMI graphics card has no audio input, and there is naturally no audio signal in the HDMI signal.

2. If you are using a DVI to HDMI cable to connect your computer to a TV, you will need a separate audio cable from the audio output of the computer to the audio input of the TV (HDMI channel External audio input interface, some TVs do not have this interface, you can not use this way to connect the computer to the TV, you may need to change the HDMI graphics card).

3, for the use of HDMI graphics with a built-in sound card (mostly ATI chipset graphics), this time there will be at least two sound cards (onboard sound card and graphics card built-in sound card), you need to The audio property of the control panel is selected as the default sound card of the HDMI graphics card as the default sound card. It may also be necessary to select the default sound card of the player as the built-in sound card of the HDMI graphics card.
