After the PPS is used, the screen has black shadows

There is a black shadow on the screen after PPS is used.

Reason analysis:

First, the video screen in PPS playback always shows a black shadow at a fixed position on the screen. Second, the rendering mode of PPS is not compatible with the system display driver. Third, the screen brightness is set incorrectly or too low. Fourth, in extreme cases, staying in a picture for a long time leaves the screen with a residual image.
First, the video screen in PPS playback always shows a black shadow at a fixed position on the screen. Since PPS uses the system's Direct Draw drawing, the program interface does not completely exit in the minimized state, and Direct Draw still outputs the image on the screen. You can right-click the PPS icon in the notification area of the taskbar and select to refresh the desktop after exiting the program. The operation is as follows (Figure 1): (Figure 1) The second, PPS rendering mode is not compatible with the system display driver, resulting in PPS watching video. There is a black shadow in it. Symptoms The problem disappears after closing the PPS application or restarting the computer. You can try to change the rendering mode of PPS. The steps are as follows: Step 1: In the menu bar of PPS, select “Tools”à“Options", as follows (Figure 2) (Figure 2) Step 2: In the popup “Option Settings”Select the "Normal Rendering" drop-down menu, change the default option "Use VMR7 Rendering" to "Use VMR9 Rendering", “OK Exit. The operation is as follows (Fig. 3) (Fig. 3) Step 3: Play the video test. If it is invalid, repeat steps 1 and 2. In step 2, select “Old Renderer”. Third, the screen brightness is set incorrectly or too low. Some monitors have a faint black stripe flicker at a particular brightness, black or gray. You can try to adjust the screen to the appropriate brightness. Different display adjustment methods are slightly different. The following describes the common brightness adjustment methods for notebooks: Method 1: (Idea models are available) Use the FN+ direction arrow on the keyboard to increase the brightness. Use the FN+ direction down arrow on the keyboard to decrease the brightness. Method 2: (For some Think models) Use the FN+Home button on the keyboard to increase the brightness. Use the keyboard's FN+End button to reduce the brightness. Fourth, in extreme cases, staying in a picture for a long time leaves the screen with a residual image. Since the video is watched for a long time on the interface of the PPS program, the display permanently displays the image afterimage for a long time after displaying the still image for a long time, which is commonly called the burn-in phenomenon. Reference test method: After the display or external display is replaced, the display is normal, and the display may burn. Burning screens mainly occur on CRTs and plasma TVs, and afterimages cannot be eliminated. Example of the phenomenon (Fig. 4): (Fig. 4) Even if the display with good performance is not suitable for displaying the same still picture for a long time, please use the display correctly and develop good usage habits. Some LCD liquid crystal displays are also burnt. This kind of image sticking due to long-term fixed display of a certain picture is caused by the transition charging of the upper layer driving thin film diode of the LCD, and can be recovered by standing still or continuously displaying white in full screen. If you find that there is already a residual image on the LCD display, you can refer to the following method: Method 1: You can try to switch the screen to the all white pattern for 3 hours to see if it can be restored. Method 2: You can try to turn off the monitor for a few days to see if it can be restored.
