A case of silent resolution of video files (storm 3 and real11 Chinese version conflict)

Phenomenon: Use winavi to convert the video file rmvb into mpg, and find that the converted file is silent. The original video file is played normally with real11 simplified Chinese version!

Analysis: There should be a problem with audio decoding. My machine is equipped with the latest version of Storm Video 3 (3.07.11.14) version of the software. According to the normal idea, there should be no problem? Is it a problem with Storm Video 3? Then uninstall and reload, it is still not normal after the conversion. Strange? Later, I accidentally played the rmvb video file with Storm Video 3, and there was no sound! Recall that real11 was installed after Storm 3, is it a failure to update the real decoder? And winavi calls the storm decoder, so it also fails?

Solution: I thought of here, I first uninstalled the real11 simplified Chinese version, and then re-install Storm 3, this time the playback is normal, after the conversion The mpg is also normal. Later, I went to the official website of the storm and looked at it. Someone even encountered the same problem with me. The solution was to install real11 first, then install Storm 3. I have not done experiments to make it feasible. Think about it or take a detour. If you look at the official website or baidu before, how good.
