Therefore, as the contradiction between cookie technology and user privacy becomes more and more prominent, various methods for deleting cookies are also emerging. IE6 can make good restrictions on cookies, making it easier to manage cookies. Use it to let yourself choose the little "sweet cake" you are willing to eat.

IE6 can refuse

Open IE6, click "Tools→Internet Options" on the menu bar, and there is a "Temporary Internet Temporary File" item in the "General" tab. Cookies in the browser are of no use to you. In this item, you can delete all the cookies in the browser by clicking the "Delete Cookies" button. Click on the "Settings" button, through "View Files", you can find which websites have left cookies on your computer and delete those cookies that you do not wish to leave.

In order not to let the annoying cookies appear on the computer again, it is best to set it yourself, select the "Privacy" tab, drag the slider, and make 6 settings for the cookies. Accept, to reject the whole, let you be free to do.

Here you need to know what is called "first party cookies", "third party cookies" and "session cookies". The so-called "first party cookies" refer to the cookies from the website currently being visited, which store certain information; the so-called "third party cookies" refers to the sites from the current visiting websites, the most common ones are those that are being Visiting a third-party site where the site places advertisements. This third-party site may be using cookies; so-called "session cookies" are some of the information stored during the current browsing. At present, large formal websites generally have a privacy preference platform (P3P) privacy policy, which tells users what information the user collects through the placement of cookies, the purpose of the data, and so on. Then you can compare the privacy policy of the website with your privacy settings to decide whether to let the website place cookies. The way to view the privacy policy is simple. Click on "Privacy Report" in the "View" menu of IE6.

Please see, this is Yahoo's privacy report (Figure 1). Click on "Summary" to show the Yahoo site's privacy policy in more detail. If you agree, you can accept its cookies and disagree. If you can, you can refuse to accept it. At present, on the Internet, foreign site privacy strategies are relatively better than domestic ones. Of course, some large professional websites, although there is no such privacy policy, generally pay attention to protecting the user's information. In spite of this, it is best for us to set ourselves up so that we can protect your private information more effectively.

To customize privacy, then click on "Privacy" in the "Advanced" button, you can set advanced privacy policy on their own. Note that if you make a custom setting here, the original slider privacy settings will be canceled. After you've set it up, if there are unsolicited websites that send you cookies, you will see an unacceptable prompt at the bottom of the IE6 browser.

There are some sites on the Internet, you don't trust its privacy policy, or it has no habit of keeping your privacy secret, but you need to visit it occasionally, then press "Edit" Button, enter these bad reputation website addresses in the settings box, click the "Reject" button, the cookies of these websites will be rejected by IE6.
