Introduction to the use of partition magician

We have already partitioned the disk once when we just bought the computer installed system. If you want to continue to perform other partition consolidation on the disk, you must apply the relevant software. PartitionMagic 8.0 is a good partitioning software, small here. I will introduce you to the two basic operations of this software for disk partitioning.

First, create a backup partition operation (1) Here are some of the most commonly used functions. If you choose "convert partition", it refers to converting the drive file format. The following is the operation that can be performed when the operation is switched. If the hard disk you selected is C: the format is N T F S, a dialog box will appear. The file format can be converted to F A T 3 2 (N T F S file format is recommended). Open “Start” → “Program” → “Microsoft” →“Accessories”→“Command Prompt”Command Note: You can also complete the command line that comes with Windows XP FAT32→ NTFS conversion (but unlike PartitionMagic 8.0 is that it can not complete NTFS → FAT32 conversion) The method is as follows. In the command window, type "convert C: /fs:ntfs”" and press Enter (if you want to change other disks such as D: you can change the command to convertD:/fs:ntfs) (2) The following describes how to back up a partition. , please click the “Create a backup partition” button on the left side of the dialog box, and the “Create Backup Partition Wizard” dialog box will appear. (3) Click the “Next” button, it will automatically give several optional new partition locations. The recommended location is to create another drive, for example, create a new I disk as the storage location. At the same time, the software will pop up the “From which partition to extract space” dialog box, check the hard disk area where you need to extract space. (4) Click the “Next” button, in the “Partitions” dialog box that appears, you can adjust the size of the new partition in the size, the right size range of the partition. “I:” The space can be set in the range of 7.8MB to 564.8MB. Click the “Next” button to start creating a new partition. 2. Add space to a disk with less space. (1) If you find C: The capacity of the partition is not enough at the beginning, now C: The space is tight. How to solve this problem? You can increase the capacity of a partition (such as C:) by adjusting the capacity of the partition. Click on the left “tip(T)?” to see the reminders and notes for each step (automatically open the help file for this step) (2) Find the adjustment you want in the "Select Partition" dialog box that appears. The capacity of the drive (such as C:), click the "Next" button (3) to adjust the size of the drive (can be adjusted can also be adjusted to small, here we increase C: capacity), please indicate the size range above Fill in the value, you can also adjust by the small up and down arrows. (4) One drive becomes larger, and the other one or several drives will naturally decrease. Select the free space that can be obtained from other drives to add to C: (5) Finalize the result If you still don't understand anything, please click “tip(T)?”, if you are sure you want to make this change, click “Complete" to start adjusting
