The failure of the Ghost operation failed to detect the failure of the hard disk

When we use Ghost to backup and restore the system, sometimes the hard disk is not detected due to the operation failure, and I have also backed up and restored the system. There have been similar problems, the following is the author's own fault diagnosis method in the computer maintenance practice experience because the Ghost failed to detect the hard disk. For reference.

1. Repairing the hard disk with MHDD

First fix the hard disk with MHDD software. It directly reads all the physical sectors of the hard disk, and does not control the hard disk through the BIOS of the motherboard. Therefore, the MHDD scan hard disk is very fast, only a few tens of minutes, the 80G hard disk is scanned, and it can repair bad sectors. , low-level clearing of the hard disk.

Repair method: restart the system into pure DOS state, input MHDD running program; MHDD will first detect all hard disks in the system, and give the code and connection status of each hard disk; input the hard disk code to be detected, then That is, the hard disk can be repaired by the command provided by MHDD.

(1)General repair tips

First execute the MHDD WAIT command. If it succeeds, the first head of the hard disk is good; then press F3, F2, if there are parameters Come out, first enter the MAKEBAD command, then use AERASE to clear the processing sector by sector, the sector to be produced does not have to be too large;

If you run MHDD, press F3, F2 has no parameter display, then execute HDDL20 program, read Take the FIRmWARE of the same model and re-write it into the problem disk. In order to ensure security, the LDR file can not be powered off when writing. After the writing is completed, the hard disk can be repaired. Next, run MHDD, first execute SMART ON, then SMART AAS to open the hidden switch; then use SCAN to open REMAP (bad channel re-mapping) ), scan, you can repair the general bad sectors.

(2) Bad sectors less

If there are fewer bad sectors, it is recommended that you execute the scan command to repair, first scan it in the normal mode, and then use the advanced mode to scan it again. The specific operation is as follows: :

Run MHDD, press SHIFT+F3 to select the disk to be repaired; then execute the scan command, set the scan configuration, select LBA mode, remap item OFF, Loop the test/repair item OFF, the other items are ON, then press CTRL+ENTER scans the disk; after scanning, enter the scan command, select CHS mode, Loop the test/repair item is OFF, Erase WAITs item is OFF, the other items are selected ON, and the scan is completed after the selection is completed.

2, using DOS command

After the hard disk repair is successful, ghost will not go wrong. If you make another mistake, it is recommended to enter the pure DOS state, enter the fdisk /mbr command, and then enter the ghost -FDSZ command, usually the fault will be eliminated.
