How to install Linux Mint in Win10 system

How to install Linux Mint on Win10 system? With the close of the free upgrade period of windows10 system, more and more friends have upgraded their computer systems to the official version of win10. Today, Xiaobian is here to share the method of installing Linux Mint on Windows10 system, hoping to help everyone better use win10.
The specific method is as follows:
1, you need to do something obvious before installing a new operating system. The first and most important point is to back up any important files you sit on your computer. You don't want to lose any important financial documents, personal information, etc.
The next thing you need to do is make sure you want to switch from Windows to Linux. Don't expect Linux to be a Windows operating system. This is a very different operating system and after installation you will find it very fast. There are some important shortcomings in moving away from Windows, the main one is the technical skills needed, decent number
2, the first thing you need to do is to download the ISO file of Linux Mint. You choose the 17.3 button for Linux. And choose either the 32-bit or 64-bit version and download it. This is a fairly large file, so it may take some time.
Next, you will need to create a bootable USB stick. We recently did a quick guide on how to do this not a long time ago and even have a step by step video. Follow the steps in the guide and then you should be ready to install a new operating system.
Next, plug your USB drive into your computer. Now, we need to change it so that your computer takes off the U disk instead of the hard drive. To do this, you need to open your BIOS. Just restart your computer and press F2 (some other common keys are F1, even deleted, sometimes F12).

3, this should take you into the BIOS. Once there, you need to use the keyboard keys to navigate to the “Start” tab. From there, use the keyboard to change the boot order so that the USB drive starts up. In some cases, you simply press F12 to go straight to the boot option and select the USB drive.

4. Once you have completed the free preview, just press the install Linux Mint icon, please follow the installation wizard, you are good! The installation wizard is actually very simple. It does have everything for yourself, but it will ask you some basic questions, such as making sure you have enough storage on your hard drive.

5. The last option allows you to install another operating system next to Linux Mint, but you need to set the size of the custom partition, which can be difficult depending on the size of your hard drive. Personally, even if I have a bigger hard drive, I would rather start over and use a single operating system, but it all depends on you.
