How does Win10 set up a local connection to a metered network?

  
In Win10, the default is to not allow users to set the local connection to the metering network, but we can do this by modifying the registry.
When the local connection is set to the network fee, the Windows update will not be downloaded automatically. It will be more useful for friends who don't like Win10 automatic update. Similarly, Windows Store apps won't automatically download updates, of course, this one can be set in the store.
Set the local connection to the network method according to the flow rate:
Note: This method needs to modify the registry. It is recommended to create a system for your system according to "How to create a restore point and system restore completely". A restore point to restore when an error occurs.
1, press Win+R to open the run, enter regedit and press Enter to open the registry editor;
2, expand the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionNetworkListDefaultMediaCost
3, get the administrator rights of the child DefaultMediaCost, You can refer to the "How to remove the OneDrive icon in Win10 Explorer?" method.
4, find Ethernet on the right side, the item is a local connection (Ethernet), double-click, change its value to 2;

Change its value to 2
5, after restart You can set your local connection to a metered network.
