Although the network name does not affect normal use, sometimes the system will add a number to the network name, and sometimes it will display multiple legacy networks. It looks very uncomfortable, and some users in the IT circle have encountered it. Such a problem, then how to modify the network name or delete the network under Windows 10? At this time, you can modify the registry to achieve.

Note: This method needs to modify the registry. Before modifying, please create a restore point for your system according to "Win10 How to Create Restore Point and System Restore Complete Raiders" to restore it when an error occurs.
Win10 modify the network name or delete the network method:
1, press Win+R to open the run, enter regedit to enter the registry editor;
2, expand the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionNetworkListProfiles
Under this item you will see one or more sub-items, each of which represents a network. After selecting one of them, a series of registry keys will appear on the right side, as shown below:

The ProfileName represents the network name, and you can change it to the name you want to see. When deleting an unwanted network, it is also determined based on the ProfileName key value.
