Using Compact Technology to compress win10 system tutorial

Nowadays, many users choose SSDs when they are equipped with computers. Due to the high price of solid-state hardware, most users choose 128GB and 256 SSDs. This type of hard disk basically has no pressure to install win10 system. However, in order to save valuable hard disk space, some users want to compress the system to make more space for other files. Then the question comes, how can we compress the system? Today, Xiaobian introduces everyone to use Compact technology to compress the win10 system, I hope to help everyone!

Using Compact technology to compress win10 system tutorial

1. Run CMD as administrator and enter the following command Enter to run.

compact /compactos:always

As you can see, it saves about 2.0GB of space after compression. Take a look at the actual hard disk space usage comparison:

The picture on the left is before compression, the picture on the right is after compression

2. If you want to turn off after turning on Compact, just execute the following command:

compact /compactos:never

It should be noted that Compact does not affect system performance, but it may produce disk fragments that are difficult to organize. It is not recommended for use on mechanical hard disks.

Through the above method, we can use the Compact technology to compress the win10 system. In fact, this method is very simple, and the volume of the compressed system is obviously reduced!
