Win10 prohibits the file explorer navigation pane to display the removable disk method

Some users have discovered a new feature of Win10: after inserting the USB flash drive, the file explorer navigation pane list will display a “ Removable disk” icon. Some users don't like this new feature, so how to prevent it from showing up?

Solution

Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following path in the left branch navigation:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Desktop\\NameSpace\\DelegateFolders\\{F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83}

Note: It is recommended to back up the registry before modification (backup registration) Table method)

Then rename the {F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83} item and put a minus sign in front of the name, which is renamed to "--F3FB2C77-0E2F-4A16- A381-3E560C68BC83}”. Figure:

Close the Registry Editor, then insert the USB flash drive, move the hard drive, and the "Removable Disk" will no longer be displayed in the File Explorer navigation pane.

I believe that Microsoft introduced this new feature of Win10 for the convenience of users, but the user's usage habits are different, but we can still disable the Win10 file explorer navigation pane by modifying the registry. Show removable disk.
