How to remove the system compressed file in Win10 disk cleaning

Before Win7 system, disk cleaning is an important method to improve the speed of the computer. Although the system after Win7 does not need to manually perform disk cleaning, disk cleaning is still an important tool in Windows system. It can save disk space by deleting unused files in the system.

By default, this tool runs a simple mode that only allows the user to delete files associated with the current account. However, users can delete more useless files by switching to advanced mode, such as Windows update patches and service packs. In the Win10 preview, advanced mode added more features than before. What is currently discovered is the "System Compression" option (this option probably doesn't exist if your computer has been cleaned before).

However, if you want to see this option, you need to run the Disk Cleanup Tool in Administrator mode; or switch from Normal mode to Advanced mode by clicking the "Clean System Files" button.

& ldquo; compression system & rdquo; steps option:

1, input cleanmgr in the Start menu search bar (or directly enter & ldquo; Disk Cleanup & rdquo;) later, click right on top of the search results, select & ldquo; & rdquo run as administrator;

2, in the pop-up window, select your system disk (usually the default is the C drive), and then Click OK. After that, you need to wait for about a dozen seconds (depending on your computer, wait patiently, will come out), the disk cleanup window will pop up.

3, find the & ldquo; disk compression & rdquo; (System Compression) option, you can select to delete it.

It is still unclear what data is being compressed, but from the description file, this mechanism uses embedded NTFS compression to compress files to free up disk space. Older Windows users may remember that there is an option to "reduce old files" in WinXP's disk cleanup tool, but this option has been removed from Vista. Compressing data can free up a lot of disk space. This feature is useful if your Win10 Preview system has limited disk space. However, this feature is not mentioned in the official documents.

After the disk cleanup passed through several Windows systems, the overall functionality did not change much, despite some changes. So when it comes to slow computer running cards, using disk cleaning is also a good choice.
