How to restore Windows 7 Favorites

Symptom: Windows 7 Explorer has a handy collection in the navigation pane that allows you to bookmark some folders or open files from the most recently visited location. But recently I don't know what's going on, the favorites are not working properly.
Workaround: There are several possibilities for collecting problems. Here are a few of the most frequently encountered problems.
The simplest problem is that the collection of favorites is not found in Explorer because the navigation pane is not open. You only need to click the Explorer's “Organization & Rarr; Layout & Rarr; Navigation Pane button to check the navigation pane to restore normal.
Windows 7 Explorer's Favorites sometimes have the location of the most recently accessed location deleted, how to restore it? Just select the Favorites icon, right-click, and then select “ Restore Favorites link ” Command (Figure 1), you can restore the location of the most recent visit.

another situation is more serious, is that favorites can not expand, and the library and the computer can start. This failure cannot be recovered by the "Restore Favorites Link" command. We can fix it by modifying the registry. In the search box of the Start menu, type the “regedit” command to open the Registry Editor, navigate to the sub-item of the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTlnkfile”, right-click in the right window, select “New →String Value”Command New A subkey named "IsShortcut" does not require a key value (see Figure 2). Then log out and enter the system, the favorites will return to normal.

by the above three methods, I believe that your favorites have been normal use. In fact, the first two methods are relatively simple. For new systems, you need to know more about the system settings. Many of the "faults" can be solved by setting.
