What improvements have been made to UAC in Windows 7 systems?

UAC (User Account Control), which is "User Account Control", is a new technology introduced by Microsoft in Windows Vista to improve system security. It requires users to perform operations that may affect the operation of the computer or to perform changes. Provide permissions or administrator & zwnj; password before the user's set operation. However, in the Vista system, it brings a lot of inconvenience to the user. Some newly installed programs can't run. After looking for a long time, I found that it is necessary to right click on the administrator mode to run normally, and frequent security warnings also make the computer The user was frightened, so the user turned off UAC. This is to avoid the annoyance, but there are security risks, and Windows 7 circumvents this very well. It has been streamlined and automatically judged, and proposed the so-called UAC slider mode —— which type can be controlled The application will pop up and which programs may not require a prompt window.
Open the control panel and go to Control PanelUser Accounts and Family SafetyUser Accounts to adjust.

The four levels are defined as follows:
1. Notify each system change. This is also the Vista mode, any system level changes (windows settings, software installation, etc.) will appear UAC prompt window.
2. Prompt only when the program tries to change the computer. When the user changes the windows settings (such as the control panel and administrator tasks), the prompt message will not appear.
3. Prompt only when the program tries to change the computer, not using a secure desktop. This is somewhat similar to the second, but the UAC prompt window only appears on the normal desktop and does not appear on the secure desktop. This is useful for some video drivers because these programs make desktop conversions slow, so be aware that secure desktops are a hindrance to software that attempts to masquerade as a response.
4. Never prompt, this is equivalent to completely turning off the UAC function.
Many people say that the slider is a very good choice, of course, the first is the safest setting. But even the first has been attacked, the security of the Microsoft system is indeed questionable.
Windows 7 UAC can use the slider to select the prompt level, while the vista system only has the prompt mode and the non-prompt mode. The safest settings are usually the most annoying, but very secure.
