Unlock Firefox 3.6 Win7 taskbar multi-window preview

A few days ago, Mozilla released the official version of Firefox 3.6, which has many improvements in features and performance compared to the 3.5 version. However, Firefox 3.6 does not have enough support for Windows 7 features. When you open multiple tabs, the Firefox icon on the Win7 taskbar does not display the overlay effect, and the thumbnail preview does not list each tab window. As shown below:

What are the benefits of multi-window preview? When you open multiple tabs, you can quickly navigate to a tab through the preview window on the taskbar, especially if you have a large number of tabs and you can't distinguish the tab content from the title.

Comparing the performance of IE8 under Windows 7, after opening multiple tabs, there will be icon overlay and multi-window thumbnail preview. If you want Firefox 3.6 to have this effect, take a look at the methods provided by ZDNet blogger Ed Bott.

In fact, Firefox 3.6 does not support this effect, but it is not enabled by default. You need to manually unlock it. Of course, the method is very simple.

Start Firefox 3.6, type about:config in the address bar, and find the line browser.taskbar.previews.enable in the parameter configuration page that opens. The default Value should be false. Double click to make it true. The Status parameter is also changed to user set.

Then look at the taskbar and move your mouse over the Firefox icon. Each tab can be previewed.

When you see this, maybe Chrome users have to ask, since Firefox 3.6 can enable this feature, how can Chrome be opened? Unfortunately, it is not enough now. I can only wait for Google to develop. As for when it can be completed, it is not known at present.
