ZIP file extraction function built into Windows 7 system

Before the Windows system supports the ZIP file format, users are complaining about Microsoft, "even such popular file formats are not supported." When Microsoft started supporting files in ZIP format since Windows Vista, users felt that this feature was "optional," and some even thought that this feature was purely "chicken."

In Windows 7, when the system recognizes the existence of a file with ZIP format, the resource manager will automatically call it, prompting the user to extract the files in the current ZIP package.

In this regard, some users think that the ZIP file extraction function built in Windows 7 system is more convenient in operation than WinRARA, so I want to abolish this association.

In the Windows 7 system, run the registry editor, respectively, to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /CLSID /branch and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /CLSID /branch, and then delete the corresponding branch items.

Exit the registry editor, after the restart, the modification will take effect.

Edit Comment:

The above method is simple and straightforward, but I don't recommend it. If WinRAR is already installed on your system, you can change the default association program to WinRAR by modifying the way the ZIP file is opened.
