Windows.old folder delete method

Yesterday, Xiao Yang’s shoes for the dormitory were heavy WIN7. After installing the system, I found that the C drive was nearly 40G. Under normal circumstances, the clean WIN7 should not exceed 10G. I ran to c: I saw a name. For the windows.old folder, because the previous system of the children's shoes is Vista, when installing WIN7, microsoft children's shoes default to give the original system back to the c:windows.old folder. Since you have already used win7, the old vista is of course not needed. Right click to delete, the result is of course not.

My method is:

Open "Start" -> "Program" -> Attachment

Then right click on cmd, in the pop-up shortcut menu Select "Run as administrator", so you run cmd as an administrator.

Then it's very simple:

1

rd /S /Q c :\\windows.old

Note that after running the command it will prompt that some directories are not empty, leave it alone.

After the command is completed, run the above command again.

This basically deletes the files under the windows.old directory.

Finally run the above command again, after this time, even the windows.old directory itself is also killed. OK, it’s done.

Then look at the C drive and find that there are 20 G less.

It seems that it is better to give the disk to the grid before installing the system, and save the gossip.
