Windows 7 computer to do Wi-Fi base station? A few easy steps!

If your Windows 7 system has an external network connection and there is a prescribed Wi-Fi device, you can turn it into a Wi-Fi base station with a simple command.

This feature seems to have been hidden, and has not been developed yet. It is estimated that the compatibility of the device and the driver is not solved, but we can test it out:

1. In the administrator mode, start the command line prompt, and then enter
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Hotspot key=passwordhere

2, use the following command to start the base station function
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
>

After running the command, you can see a "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" device in the Network and Sharing settings in the Windows 7 Control Panel.

Setting up sharing in the Sharing tab will allow you to access the machine with a wireless device. The current functionality doesn't seem to be powerful.
