There is also a nice feature that allows users to match their own system theme and share it with other Windows 7 users.

This makes the users who are still stuck on the XP or Vista platform more unhappy, but really there is no way? not necessarily! Although XP and Vista systems don't directly recognize Windows 7-specific theme packs, we have a workaround.

First you need to get a Windows 7 special .themepack theme package (Windows7 theme package download), then change the theme package suffix name to rar and extract it to any directory. You will see something like this:

If you are using a Vista system and the Aero effect is already on, double click on the folder. Inside the .theme file, then go to the DesktopBackground folder and set the wallpaper inside to your current desktop background.

XP does not support the Aero effect, then you can only use the wallpaper in the DesktopBackground folder as the background.

Windows 7 supports automatic wallpaper replacement, Vista and XP will not work, you need to use some third-party tools to achieve. If you only need basic timing changes, you can try this free tool: ScrollWall.

This program will run automatically after the installation is complete. Click [Add] in the lower left corner to add a picture, then you can select the default style of the wallpaper. [Default Style] is Stretch, Center. Still Tile (Tile), this is the same as the system's own wallpaper options. Of course, you can also set a separate style for a certain wallpaper through the right area, suitable for individual special size wallpapers.

The Change Wallpaper on the lower right side is the key object. You can choose to change it every few minutes (or hours and seconds), or you can set it to change only after each system startup. [Apply] makes the settings take effect.

Some theme packages may also include .wav system sound effects. Vista users will automatically import sound settings when they double-click the .theme file. XP users will need to manually copy these files to C:\\Windows. \\Media directory.

Similarly, if there are files such as .scr (screen saver) and .cur (mouse pointer) in the unpacked archive, you need to manually replace them:

Screen saver files need to be copied to C:\\Windows\\System32, then go to enable the screen saver;

Copy the mouse pointer file to C:\\Windows\\Cursors, then enable the new pointer style in the mouse settings in the control panel.
