In fact, at the time of the completion of the Windows 7 code, Redmond shifted its focus to the first major upgrade of the Windows client, Service Pack 1 (SP1). It is understood that Microsoft is planning to complete the first Beta version of Windows 7 SP1 by the end of this year, and its RTM will not be completed until the summer of 2010.

According to the existing plan, Microsoft will complete Windows 7 SP1 Beta1 before Christmas 2009. At the beginning of 2010, members of the company's TAP (Technology Adoption Program) team participating in Windows 7 will First get the SP1 Beta. However, end users will not wait too long, there are rumors that Redmond will release a public beta version of Windows 7 SP1 in early January 2010.

According to reports, Microsoft has already planned the development of two Beta versions and several RC versions for the Windows 7 SP1 program. Obviously, Windows 7 SP1 RTM will be launched in the fall of 2010, and the Service Pack (SP) will soon be completed in mid-2010.
