Windows7 installation dual system method

\tOne. On XP, VISTA. Windows 2000 and other systems installed windows7:
This is still relatively simple, generally everyone will. Because there is a choice of installation location when installing win7, you can choose the disk of the non-existing system. After installing the computer, there will be two system options, one is windows7 and the other is earlier verison windows (early Version windows is the system before you install dual systems.
If there is no previous system choice, you need to fix the startup items.
There are many related software methods online.
Second. Windows7 (or vista) installed XP:
This is the experience I want to share most, I did not install 2000 and other versions, it should be almost the same, I think everyone should also want to install XP.
After installing win7, I want to install XP to form a dual system. The easiest is to download a non-GHOST XP original, which can be downloaded online. I recommend an address:
VOL版:
Original:
Original Lite version:
Generally, it is in iso format. You don't need a virtual CD-ROM drive. You can use winrar to extract it to a disk (it is best not to extract the disk partition you are going to install).
The next step is to install XP on the hard disk. In Windows7, the direct installation is not possible, then use two methods:
1.PE inside installation:
Find a ghost XP installation disk can also (Everywhere, a few dollars, mainly into PE), because these installation disks have windows PE,
This way you do not need to install PE into the computer, just put the CD, choose to boot from the disk , enter the CD interface to enter the PE.
Then we can operate on all the disks, and even format the system disk where win7 is located.
Find the XP original location that you just unzipped, click on the setup.exe inside, pop up the window and select "New installation", and then the window for entering the serial number will pop up. The serial number yourself searches online.
After entering the serial number, go to “Installation Options", there is a "advanced option", click on it, "I will choose the drive letter and drive letter in the installation process".
Then the computer automatically loads the copied file and restarts automatically when it is finished.
After rebooting, (the CD can also be taken out) When entering the system, two startup menus will appear, one is windows7 and the other is windows xp installation.
Select “windows xp install” enter, press Enter, the installation location selection window appears. Just choose the partition you want to install. In the next step, the window for modifying the disk format appears (modify according to your needs, NTFS is recommended)
Next, the computer automatically loads the copied file and restarts automatically after completion.
Restart the installation interface (no boot menu item selection, directly enter XP), enter the installation interface (collect information, dynamic update, ready to install, install windows, complete the installation), this process is fully automatic.
During the installation process, the language, user, and password setting windows will pop up, set according to your own situation, and then the time setting and time zone setting will appear. After the setup continues with the automatic installation, you will see the network settings again, this is the last setting. After a while, the installation is completed, the computer is automatically restarted, the name is set, and the windows xp is entered. The familiar XP welcome interface comes.
2. No PE installation:
Due to some PE version problems or hard disk interface problems, sometimes you can not find the hard disk when you enter PE, so you can't use the above method to install (usually the problem of notebook, Desktops generally do not have this problem, of course, the desktop can also use the following method to install XP into a dual system in win7). Then you have to find other ways:
Restart the computer, press F8, select “ repair the computer & rdquo; in the pop-up interface select “ use command repair (command repair) & rdquo; one, enter the CMD command window, enter " ;X:\\winxp\\i386\\winnt32.exe” Then enter (note: there are no quotes on both sides, "X” is the partition drive you extracted the XP installation package to, “winxp” folder according to your own The situation changes. For example, if you unpack it into the folder of the F drive, type “"F:\\XP\\i386\\winnt32.exe").
Then the other steps are the same as the method of installing the purple part with PE.
If you are a notebook, it is possible that F8 selects "Repair the computer" and there will be an error, prompting to insert the CD, then find a vista or win7 installation disk (of course, if you have the original XP installation disk, you don't have to bother. Look at the post (), start from the CD, you can go to “ repair the computer & rdquo;, and then still the same as above, select “ command repair & rdquo;, the remaining steps are the same.
