Change the color of the Win7 command prompt window

By default, the command line is white on a black background, which is too dull compared to other windows in the win7 system desktop. In fact, we can use the COLOR command to put a color coat on the command line window. "COLOR" is a unique command in the Windows system, the main function is to change the color of the command line window.

Command Format: COLOR[attr]

Attr is used to specify the properties of the console output color. The color attribute is specified by two hexadecimal numbers, the first one is the background color, and the second is the foreground color. There are 16 colors available. The specific color code is shown in Figure 1.

Tip: There must be a space between the command and the parameter, and there should be no space between the two color parameters. For example, the background color is blue, and the foreground color is lavender. Then enter the command “ColorId”. If you want to restore the default color of the system, enter the Color command without any parameters.

The above color settings are only temporary. The next time you enter the command prompt, the window will return to the default color. So can we keep the window as the color we set? You can use the following method.

Right-click on the title bar of the command window and select the "Properties" command from the pop-up menu to open the Properties window of the command prompt, as shown in Figure 2.

There are 4 tabs here, which can set the cursor size, full screen display, font, character size, window size, window position, and the color of the screen text and screen background. After setting, click the “OK” button, and select “Save Attribute” in the pop-up dialog box for the window with the same title to be used later, as shown in Figure 3, then click “Determine” & rdquo; The button can be saved.
