Win7 enforces traditional control panel styles

  

If this setting is enabled, the control panel will be set to a typical style and the user will not be able to switch to the new simple style; if this setting is disabled, the control panel is set to a task-based style and the user cannot switch to the typical control panel.

Step 1: Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies subkey in the Registry Editor.

Step 2: In the right window, find or create a DWORD key-value item named "ForceClassiccontro1Panel" and set its value to "“0”" to force the use of the traditional control panel style; Its value is set to “1”, which means the default mode of using win7 system, as shown below.


Step 3: Close the Registry Editor and restart the Windows 7 system.
