Broadband Connection Error 769 Cause

Normally, you will receive error 769 if one of the following conditions is true:

1. The network cable is disconnected.

2. The modem is disabled.

3. The modem driver is corrupt.

4. Spyware is running on the computer and it prevents the connection.

5. Winsock needs to be fixed.

6. The third-party firewall software blocked the connection.

Solution:

To find out the cause of the problem, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Make sure the network cable is connected

Make sure that the network cable is connected to your computer and modem. If your computer is connected to a hub or router, make sure the cable that connects the hub or router to the modem is connected.

Step 2: Make sure the network adapter is enabled

1. Click “Start”, click “Run”, type ncpa.cpl, and then click “OK&rdquo ;
