Under the Win7 system, the problem of not being able to use VPN is solved.

VPN is actually a remote access technology. The principle is to use a public network link to set up a private network. If a company employee goes on a business trip, he wants to access the server resources of the intranet. Such access is called remote access. This method allows employees in the field to access intranet resources, but sometimes it is unusable. In the end, why can't Win7 system use VPN?

Generally speaking, if Windows 7 has no problem, it can use VPN normally. If it can't be used, then you may have intentionally or unintentionally moved Windows 7.

If Windows 7 is not through the normal installation path, such as Ghost error, system environment changes, etc., it may result in the inability to use the VPN, and the prompts given are different for different reasons. In fact, the VPN is dependent on the four system services of Windows 7: Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager, Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service, Windows Event Log. After repeated experiments, I found that the last two services need to be opened first, because the first two Managers need the latter two. The inability to use VPN is closely related to these services, so let's see how to deal with such problems.

First of all, you need to know how to manage the service, that is, click "Start" & rdquo; → & ldquo; search box & rdquo;, type "ld.; service.msc", you know what to do. Then let us analyze according to different tips.

The first case is that the remote connection device cannot be started in time. Check if the following two services are enabled:

Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager. If you can manually turn it on, VPN can be used. Of course, it can also be set to automatic.

If prompted by manual startup: the dependent service is not enabled, then you need to check if Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service (SstpSvc) and Windows Event Log (eventlog) are enabled. If you can manually turn it on, then you can use the VPN normally.

If you are prompted: Enable the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service to stop after startup, some services will automatically stop when not used by other services or programs. You need to get the administrator privileges of this folder:

C:\\Windows\\System32\\LogFiles\\WMI

Then restart the computer, and then enable several services in turn, if it starts normally.

If prompted 4201 error: Unable to identify if the passed instance name is a valid WMI data provider. The first few steps are all invalid, and the error code is always changing, the last 4201 error, the solution found is this, press the previous step to get the management rights of that folder, then find the RtBackup folder under the folder, After deleting and restarting, the problem can be solved.

You can add “get admin rights" in the right-click menu, so that you can easily operate with administrator privileges. To add, you need to use a small tool called ““TakeOwnership.zip”

There are two <reg” registry files in this archive: InstallTakeOwnership.reg and RemoveTakeOwnership.reg. As the name suggests, the previous one is added, the latter one is removed. This gadget is effective immediately and does not require a reboot.

With VPN technology, users can use the VPN to access intranet resources easily, whether they are on a business trip or at home. This is why VPN is widely used in enterprises. So if the Win7 system can't use VPN, then solve it according to the above.
