How to speed up Vista to speed up Vista startup speed start

  
        

The drive index that comes with the Windows Vista operating system can help Windows improve the search speed, but usually the index drive will affect the speed of the system. If the configuration of the computer is not particularly high, turning off the Windows Vista Indexing Service can optimize system performance to some extent.

Disable the drive index method

On Windows Vista My Computer, right click on any disk partition, select "Properties" in the pop-up shortcut menu, in the "General" option Deselect "Create index for this drive for faster search" in the card, as shown in Figure 1:


In the Windows Vista Start menu, type msconfig to enter the System Configuration tool. Select "Service" and uncheck "Windows Search Service", which will cancel the automatic startup of the indexing service and save some memory, as shown in Figure 2:
