How to reset all Win7 folder views

The folder view is an important function for adjusting the file display in folders in systems such as Win7. We may have different requirements for how the files in different folders are displayed. For example, the image folder may be displayed in a large icon, and the document should be displayed in a detailed manner for easy query. However, as the system usage time becomes longer, some display methods may not be satisfactory. The same folder view can be reset by the folder option, but it is troublesome to modify one by one. So, resetting the folder view all the time may be a good way to solve this problem.

Windows itself does not have a reset button. To achieve this, you need to modify the registry. However, before the modification, it is best to back up the registry first, so as to avoid unnecessary troubles caused by misuse.

The specific steps are as follows:

1. Enter regedit in the start menu search bar or run and press Enter to open the registry editor

2. Position to

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClassesLocal SettingsSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsShell

3, delete the Bags item

4, then navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsShell

5, also delete the Bags item

6, finally positioned to

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsShellNoRoam

7, or delete the Bags item (if it exists)

8, restart the file manager explorer.exe, available soft media cube "Shortcuts" implementation

At this point, the folder view in the system has been restored to its original state. To restore the state before the modification, restore the previously backed up registry.
