And automatic updates keep your computer safe under the latest security technology. And the global market share has been more than 10%, very popular with Windows users, especially Windows7 users.

There are two versions of the official version and the beta version.

However, after installing MSE, some users right-click on the file/folder without the option to "Scan with Microsoft Security Essentials".

This problem may be caused by a modified version of the operating system or other optimization software that causes the registry key to be tampered with. Optimize the software, recommend Rubik's Cube optimization master, and she is more than just an optimization software.

Next, you can use the registry modification method to retrieve the missing MSE right-click scan menu.

Step 1: Back up the registry for backup.

Open the Rubik's Cube Master's Rubik's Cube Cleanup Master component and find the "Registry Cleanup Function" button. Click the "Backup Registry" button in the upper right corner and select the path to save.

Step 2: Create related registry key values

Open Notepad and copy and paste the following registry information:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\*\\shellex\\ContextMenuHandlers\\EPP]

@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\Directory\\shellex\\ContextMenuHandlers\\EPP]

@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Classes\\Drive \\shellex\\ContextMenuHandlers\\EPP]

@="{09A47860-11B0-4DA5-AFA5-26D86198A780}"

The file is saved as “MSE Fix.reg”, note that the extension is reg, the save type is “all files (*.*)”, instead of <;text files (txt)”.

To easily view file extensions, you can use the landscaping master to add “show/hide file extensions”right-click menus to facilitate real-time switching of hidden extensions.

Step 3: Double-click the MSE Fix.reg file on the desktop to import the registry. When the confirmation prompt pops up, click “yes".

After importing, right click again to view the problem, if the exception occurs, please use the registry backed up in the first step to restore.
