Win7 system disk slimming: delete the index record document

Many people care about the size of the system disk after the installation of Windows7 system, and then try to reduce the system space occupation, so the soft media optimization master has the cleanup master's < The system disk slimming & rdquo; function, you can delete some redundant files in the system disk to achieve slimming effect.

And today I mentioned that it is unnecessary to delete files. For the friends who use the search and indexing function of Windows7 as a daily use, there is no need to do this slimming.

The search function of Windows7 becomes extremely powerful because of the index. When indexing, the system will create an index archive in C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Search\\Data.

If you have no intention of using the search index, or have opened the service, then this archive may take up a lot of space on your system disk.

PS: Since the Eviews software is installed on the small computer, the edb file is opened by default for this program.

If you don't choose to use the search function and plan to close it, you can go to

C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Search\\Data\\Applications\\Windows

Remove Windows .edb file;

C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Search\\Data\\Applications\\Windows\\Projects\\SystemIndex\\Indexer

Delete the cifiles folder.

This index document is still very important for friends who use this feature. Before and after reinstalling the computer, you can perform backup and restore operations on C:\\ProgramData\\Microsoft\\Search\\Data\\ to improve the efficiency after reinstalling the computer
