Using SkyDrive to synchronize two Win7 computers to the folder

The white-collar workers are busy now, not only do they often work overtime, but sometimes they need to take home the unfinished work. It’s okay to use a laptop. If it’s a desktop computer, I’ll use a USB flash drive to copy the data from the company’s computer and copy it back the next day. Do not say the trouble, if you forget, the next day you can't make a difference. In fact, just use a small component of Windows Live, create a synchronization folder on the company's Win7 computer, put the work data into this folder, Win7 will automatically synchronize them to SkyDrive's 5GB free network disk. Similarly, setting up a sync folder on your home Win7 computer and logging in with the same Windows Live account will keep your home and company folders in sync.

This component is Windows Live Mesh. After downloading the Windows Live package, double-click to start the installation. In the “Select the program to install” interface, select “Windows Live Mesh” to install it. Go to the computer. Once installed, click the “Start” button and type “Mesh” in the search box, then you can see “Windows Live Mesh" in the search results list, click to launch it.

The Windows Live login prompt will pop up when you first start up. You can log in directly with your Windows Live account. Click “Sync Folder", select the folder you want to sync in the pop-up dialog box, and click the “Sync” button.

After returning home, you can also install Windows Live Mesh on your home Win7 computer. After you install it, use your same Windows Live account login, and then do not need to do anything, Windows Live Mesh will automatically detect the sync folder in the SkyDrive sync storage under the account and sync it to the current computer.

In addition to syncing folders, Windows Live Mesh can also sync IE favorites and Office templates, styles, custom dictionaries, and email signatures in Outlook.
