What to do if Windows Anytime Upgrade enters the wrong key

No disk, no delay. With Windows Anytime Upgrade, you can upgrade to a newer version of Windows 7 in just 10 minutes, for example, from Home Premium to Ultimate. This way, you can use additional features while keeping your current programs, files, and settings intact.

However, there may be a situation where you enter an unsuitable upgrade key at first, then cancel the upgrade, and when you open Windows Anytime Upgrade again, you are no longer prompted for a key. Is the key verification process directly, how to clear this key and re-enter it?

In fact, after verifying the key, a WindowsAnytimeUpgrade item will be automatically generated in the registry. There is a key record key in the item, so just delete the WindowsAnytimeUpgrade item to solve the problem. The specific steps are as follows: :

1. Click the Start button, type regedit in the search box, and press Enter.

2. Expand to HKCU\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\WindowsAnytimeUpgrade.

3. Right click on WindowsAnytimeUpgrade and select Delete.
