Tips for Windows 7 Command Prompt

First, the command prompt is also transparent

Now is the Windows 7 era, the command prompt should also keep up with the times. How to keep up? Very simple, let it be transparent! We only need the small software Glass_CMD to achieve the transparency of the command prompt. For specific software downloads, please refer to "Glass_CMD: Transparent Windows 7 Command Prompt". Download the software, double-click on Glass_CMD.exe, and then open CMD will find that the window is transparent, the effect please see the following picture: It is worth noting that when using, it is best to change the "screen background" to the default black, text Also changed back to white. In addition, this translucent background color is consistent with the border of your system window. If you find that the text and background colors are too close, you can change them by following the steps below.

In the upper left corner of the command prompt, left click and select Properties

Color Label to change the items in the box below to bring up the font color suitable for your computer. Open the command window in the specified place

When we change the file path, we often use the “cd file path” command. If you want to enter a deeper folder, you must remember each level before. The folder name is obviously inconvenient. In this case, there are actually shortcuts to go. First, under Windows Explorer, find the folder you want to enter, then press and hold the “shift” key and right click on the folder. At this point, the right-click menu will have an extra "Open the command window here". Click on it to open the command window under the corresponding path. If you need administrator rights to operate in this folder, you need to simultaneously press “ctrl” and “shift” to open the context menu. For details, see the following figure

Three, repeat the previous command

In CMD, we can use F3 to repeat the previous command; F1 repeats character by character; F2 quickly repeats to the specified character position. This may be a bit abstract, let's use examples to illustrate everything.

First enter the command “cd c:/Program Files/TweakCube3”, the next time you want to enter, press F3 to repeat the "cd c:/Program Files/TweakCube3” command; press F1 is character by character. Repeat; F2 is a quick repeat to the character you need before. See the following picture F2 repeat

After pressing F2, the above window appears, and then press a character in the command, then a command before the character will be repeated. If there are multiple identical letters, starting with the leftmost one, repeating F2 and the letter will repeat to the right.

Four, repeat any command quickly

This is an extension of the previous one. If you want to re-enter a series of commands that have already been entered, you can press the arrow keys [Up] and [Down] to find the commands that have been entered. If you have entered a large number of commands and you are not able to find them, you can also press F7 to list them. All command history entered.

V. Renaming windows

In the case of opening multiple command line windows, proper renaming can help to distinguish the windows, and the method is very simple. Enter “title window name" (without quotes), press Enter.
