Win7 system tips network folder also into the "library"

Nana, the company white-collar workers, recently and colleagues around, are hooked on the Windows7 operating system, no other, just efficient and convenient " The library has already made Nana put it down. What music, movies, documents, pictures, and regardless of where these files are stored, Nana will all be included in the "library", anytime, anywhere, and more convenient.

This is not the case, the colleagues in the company began to ponder how to add shared files from other computers to the "library" of the machine, thus achieving the unified management of the local computer and network folders, and then Also do not need to take a U disk copy to copy.

However, it is also tricky to add a network folder to the "library". Is it very interesting to know? Then set it up with Nana.

Note: To add a network folder to the "library", the first condition is to ensure that the network access between the computers is smooth, and the system default settings will not be a problem.

Secondly, if the other party's share sets the access password, it is recommended that you set the save username and password when you first access it (Figure 1). The purpose of this is to open the access directly like a local file in the future, eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the password.

Prepare the work, and then start adding the network folder to the "library". First add a new "library" in the "Library", and click "Include a folder" (Figure 2), then select the network shared folder to be added.

However, I have encountered a serious problem in the process of adding, the system always prompts "Cannot include this network location because the network location is not indexed" , unable to join the network folder (Figure 3).

Figure 3

In fact, this is caused by the system's offline files being disabled resulting in the network folder not being indexed by the system index. Therefore, you must first enable the offline file function of the system, find "offline file" in the "Start" search box, click the result to open the management window (Figure 4), click "Enable offline file", and restart the computer according to the system prompts. .

After the system reboots into the desktop, right click on the network folder you want to add, select "Always enable offline files" (Figure 5), and finally, repeat the initial addition Operation, adding the network folder again will be successful.

Note:
1. When the network folder is available offline, a copy of all the files in the folder will be stored on the local computer hard disk, if the network folder contains a large number of files. , you have to consider this situation.
2, if the operating system of the included folder machine is an earlier version of XP, Vista, etc., you can install Windows Search 4.0 on the computer, and then index the computer, so that the computer can follow the Windows 7 library compatible.
