To restore, just copy everything back in this directory and overwrite the existing content.

To restore Group Policy to the default state, first delete the directory where the group policy is located "X:\\Windows\\System32\\GroupPolicy" (X indicates the system disk letter), and then run the command in the command prompt window. "gpupdate /force" can be, after confirmation, the group policy will be restored as soon as possible!

If it is a beginner to use group policy, it will definitely be The strategy of the many names in the Group Policy Editor is very big. Because you are not familiar with the specific location of each policy, you may find a policy to search for a long time in the Group Policy Editor. In this case, you only need to use the Group Policy Editor. With the "Filter" feature, you can quickly find the strategy you need.

After launching the Group Policy Editor, select a directory in the left pane, right-click, and select the "Open Filter" command in the shortcut menu that pops up, the "Open Filter" item will be checked. Right click on the same directory again and click on "Filter Options" to open the "Filter Options" dialog, select the type of policy settings to display, for example, you can select "Managed", "Configured" and "Annotated" "Other types of drop-down lists, you can also check "Enable keyword filter", filter with keyword filter, or check "Start demand filter" to filter with the required platform and application filters, very flexible . After confirmation, only the eligible policies will be displayed, and it seems much clearer.

Unlocking Group Policy Locking

Unlocking the registry lock
