that I bought home? This question must be different for everyone. Some people install software and some have games. In fact, before starting to use a new computer, one thing everyone needs to do is to give your Win7 system backup. The computer is still useless. What can I back up? Just because the computer has not been used yet, we have to save this relatively pure and secure Win7 system for future restoration. In addition, it is very convenient to have a backup, whether it is to reset the system or migrate.

In Win7, there are two types of backup: backup the entire system and backup system settings /create system repair disk. Among them, system backup is the most thorough backup, which can integrate the whole system into one image file, which is very convenient on the restore and recovery system.

Backup the entire system

Open "Control Panel" → "All Control Panel Items" → "Backup and Restore" to enter the "Backup and Restore" center of Win7.

: select the partition from the list.

The system image backup not only backs up the system disk, but also backs up a hidden partition in Win7, which holds the system boot information (System Reeserved). After confirming the correctness, click “Start Backup” Win7 to automatically complete the backup work. The backup time is related to the size of the system and the configuration of the host. Generally, it can be completed in about 15 minutes.

How to Restore System

Normally, system restore is a last resort. Generally, it is used when a certain software or driver is installed and the software conflicts, and the system is unstable or even crashes. As far as Win7 is concerned, there are two ways to restore the system:

One is to enter the system, click the system protection tab to select the system partition that needs to be restored, and then click the "System Restore" button. You can start the System Restore Wizard and select a recent restore point to complete the system restore process according to the wizard.

System Restore

Sometimes the system failure is serious and you cannot start the system restore in normal mode. We can try to enter the safe mode to start the system restore. If you can't enter the security mode, you can also choose to restore the system from the System Recovery Options Console.

Press and hold the F8 key during system startup to enter the system advanced startup options menu, select Repair computer and press Enter to enter the system recovery options console. In this process, you need to select a user and enter a password to log in. Select and click System Restore to launch the System Restore Wizard, and the restore process is the same as in normal mode. In addition, running Startup Repair starts the system repair function, which runs System Image Recovery to recover the system from the backed up system image.

Tip:

In addition to saving the backup file to your local hard drive, you can also back up to another drive or DVD. If you are using the Professional or Ultimate Win7, you can also choose to back up your files to the network.
