Close the prompt box Let Win7 error report send

Win7 system stability in the background and the previous version of Windows has a great improvement, but if it is not used properly, it will inevitably lead to errors. In Win7, when a program illegal operation, the system will automatically start the error reporting mechanism, ask the user whether to send this error to Microsoft, and stop the program.

If we choose "Do not send" here, then if the error is not excluded, the prompt box will still appear; if you select "Send", the error will be recorded by Microsoft and find a solution. Of course, it is better to send it, but before Microsoft solves the problem, this prompt box always appears a bit annoying. What should I do?

If you want to send an error report and don't want to always see such a prompt, you can modify the registry to let the system automatically send an error report in the background, no pop-up prompt box.

First, click the "Start" button, type "regedit" in the search box and press Enter to open the Win7 Registry Editor.

Open the Registry Editor

in the registry, and then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Windows Error Reporting.

Locate to key items

Find and double-click on the right window to open DontshowUI and change its default value of "0" to "1".

Modify the default value is 1

After the modification is completed, press the "OK" button to save the settings, then close the registry editor, and you will not see the error box for sending the error report, but Win7 The error message will still be automatically sent to Microsoft in the background.
