Microsoft fixes Win7 SP1 can not sleep properly

  
        

After Windows 7 SP1 was released, many users encountered such problems. Some users reported that the system could enter sleep mode and wake up before installing SP1, but there was a problem after installing SP1. You must manually press the power button to start the system, and you will receive an error message indicating that your machine is not shut down properly.

Microsoft has given instructions and solutions on the technical support website. If your Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 use the SCSIport miniport driver as the boot device driver, it may cause the system to not sleep properly or Unable to create a system crash memory dump file.

First, you can install the following patch:

If you still can't solve the problem , then follow these steps:

— Open Power Options in the Control Panel;

— Click Change Plan Settings to change the power plan you are using;

— Click on “Change Advanced Power Settings”;

—Expand “Sleep” option;

— Change “Allow Wake-up Timer” to “Disabled”;

— Save Settings.
