Windows 7 Application Tutorial: Improvements to the Start Menu

If we open a notebook and just record something, what do we do?

In Windows XP, we want to open Notepad like this: Click the "Start" button, open the "Start" menu, and then click "All Programs", "Accessories", "Notes" this".

If our XP installs more applications, then we have to pan the mouse to the next level in the layered menu. Then move the mouse to find the program we need in many applications, which is quite troublesome. And because there are too many menu items, if you use the mouse for too long and cause common jitter, etc., you may accidentally move the wrong position or move the wrong position.

In WIN7, although the method is similar, it is much easier to operate. But because the Win7 Start menu has been redesigned, after clicking "All Programs", there are no new submenu options like XP, but all the content is displayed in a menu in a form like "Directory Tree". In, it is a bit like a resource manager, point to that level of directory, automatically expand, so that we can click. This way we not only save screen space, but also do not easily slide click errors.

Still taking Notepad as an example, we found the notebook in Win7, still remembering "all programs", "attachments", "notepad". But display and clicks are a lot easier.
