How to install the system for EFI motherboard and GPT partition table?

Q: I bought a new 3T hard drive, but I can only use 2T. I heard that GPT can recognize 3T. I made GPT according to the tutorial, but I can't install the system. NT6 can't be used. How to install the system for EFI motherboard and GPT partition table?

Answer: Now the hard disk is getting bigger and bigger, and the original MBR partition mode, more than 2T hard disk will be incomplete, only use GPT way, but GPT can not boot with the original BIOS System, but if your motherboard supports EFI, you can use GPT+EFI to support 3T large hard disk installation system.

Importantly, installing the system may cause all files on your computer to be lost. Be sure to copy the files from the hard disk to other mobile hard disks, USB flash drives, etc. for backup!

Tools required:

1, 64-bit Win7 system (EFI does not support 32-bit systems, try to use the original system, many modified systems remove EFI support, not GHOST version) 2 EFI startup file: EFI SHELL(x64).rar Download address: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qWtz7La 3. U disk one (not less than 4G) 4. Motherboard supporting EFI
GPT relative MBR The advantages are: 1, support 2T or more hard disk 2, can be divided into more than 4 primary partitions 3, higher security tutorial begins: 1, right-click to download Win7 system, select Winrar, extract the system to the U disk, do not have files Folder, directly put the files in the ISO to the root directory, then the EFI startup file of the tool 2 is downloaded and decompressed, and one of the folders and two files are also copied to the root directory, as shown below: 2. Press the power button to boot, then Press ESC to enter the BIOS, as shown below (here is the method of ASUS entering the BIOS, other machine methods are different), switch to the BOOT label, change the Launch CSM to DIsabled, this option may also be called Legacy or EFI, etc., different motherboards, called Different methods, the role of this option is to turn Legacy's traditional BIOS For EFI BIOS 3, select Save Change, then insert the U disk, run the lowest Launch EFI Shell from filesystem device

4, will pop up the following interface, the above Device mapping table is your disk, find U disk, generally will be labeled "Removeable", as shown below, my U disk because there are two partitions, so fs0 and fs1, enter the following command:

Command Description fs0: Select fs0 partition ls column a partition file

5, enter the ls command above, it will list the current partition file, as shown below, you can see a list of just the U disk file, if this partition is not Your U disk, you can change fs1, blk1, blk2, etc., know to find your U disk, find your U disk, enter the following command and press Enter:

Command Description bootmgfw.efi Run bootmgfw .efi file, which is the system's EFI boot files

6, after the above bootmgfw.efi command input, you can see the familiar interface of the system is installed, such as You are a GPT hard disk partition, you can directly install the system, but most hard drives are also MBR partitions, so when you select the partition, ready to install the system, you may encounter the following tips, then your hard drive is MBR Partition, you need to continue to toss:

7, hold down the Shift key, then press F10, open the command prompt CMD, enter the following command, note that this step will erase the hard disk, the hard disk is gone:

command Description run diskpart diskpart list disk partition management tool lists all hard disk select disk 0 reference on the step size of the hard disk, select your hard drive clean empty hard disk convert gpt hard disk turn into GPT

8. After the hard disk is dedicated to GPT, create a partition. Enter the following command:

Command Description create partition efi size=200 Create size 2 00M EFI partition create partition msr size=200 Create a MSR partition of size 200M create partition primary size=30000 30000 size is about 30G, this is the partition of the installed system

The third command above can be modified, This partition can be understood as the C drive, the system disk, for example, you have to divide 50G, then the command = later changed to 50000
9, here we only created a partition C drive, the rest of the partition you also You can refer to the last command in step 9 above to create a partition, but enter the partition size. Because the remaining hard disk is not easy to estimate, it may cause some hard disk to be left and cause waste. I suggest that you can install the system and use the partitioning tool. Or right-click on the computer--management--disk management, it is relatively simpler than using the diskpart command. 10. Turn off the above command line. The following partitions have not changed? Don't worry, click on the refresh of the following figure. 11. Now that the partition is divided, you can select the primary partition that you just divided, and then click Next to install the system.
