Unable to start DHCP Client

Fault phenomenon: Due to misoperation, the winsock entry in the registry was accidentally deleted in the Windows 7 system, then I uninstalled the TCP/IP protocol, and then reinstalled the protocol again. Only found that all VPN software can not be used, prompting "DHCP Client service failed to start", run the following command at the command prompt according to the method provided online:

netsh winsock reset

< BR> still can't solve the problem. Manually open the DHCP Client service in the service, it will prompt: "Error 2: The system can not find the specified file." And I also found that the tcpip netbios helper service can not be started. How to solve such a fault?

Workaround: Editing the registry is a very dangerous behavior, so it is recommended to export the relevant items of the backup registry before the operation, otherwise it will bring catastrophic consequences. There are two ways to remedy: if the system restore function of Windows 7 is enabled, you can restore to the time point before the key value of the registry is deleted; if the system restore function is turned off or cannot be restored, you can go to other normal, same versions. Windows 7 system, find the corresponding deleted key value path, export and copy to the computer, double-click to import into the registry, you can also solve.
