Windows 8 Developer Preview, Consumer Preview, and Customer Preview provide personalized menus. If the registry permissions are modified due to malicious programs, the permissions of “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTDesktopBackgroundShellPersonalize” are modified and deleted. The "Personalization" shortcut menu will be lost. As shown below:
