How to remove the useless network connection

in Win8 In the process of using Windows 8, sometimes the network connection is added repeatedly, although it does not affect the normal use, but a long list of useless connections does not look pleasing to the eye. In addition, some default network names (such as "network 2”) are neither intuitive nor good. However, these connections cannot be directly deleted and renamed. We can only do this by means of the registry.
Click the network icon in the system tray area to view the network connection currently in use, such as zjggmxx-jwc2, under the list of available networks. Then press Win+R to bring up the running dialog box, type regedit and press Enter to open the registry editor, and then jump to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionNetworkListSignaturesUnmanaged, which has some sub-items, where you can view the corresponding network connection. , in turn, delete the items corresponding to the network connection that does not exist. Note that you should never delete the available network items (in this case, zjggmxx-jwc2), so it is best to back up the registry before the operation.
Next, you can rename the name of the network connection you are using. In this example, double-click to open the Description item in zjggmxx-jwc2 and enter the name of the network connection you want. After the system is restarted, the changes will take effect, and friends who need it can try it.
