Win8 comes with disk partitioning tool tutorial

First use the Windows key + X combination key, call up the system function menu, and then select the "Disk Management" option. There is nothing to say about this step, as long as you can find this management tool until you can find it. (Small series recommended: win8 system backup and disk partition)

Disk management location
In the open disk management interface, we can see that each partition information of our disk is displayed, and which Extended space, free space, unallocated, and more.

The following is the key to the partition. Right click on the disk selection for the partition and select “Compress Volume”, and a new compression window will pop up. In this window we can see the total size of this drive letter, the amount of compressible space and the amount of input compression space. The first two are unchangeable, and the latter is the value we need to enter.

How big is the partition to fill in?
The thing to note here is that the value we enter is the size of the new partition we have separated, so don't reverse it.
When the compression is complete, we will see a new "free space" in the disk management, but now this part of the space can not be used, we need to actually create a partition on it.

A new free space
Right-click on this new space selection "New Simple Volume", then the following is relatively simple, first select the size of the new partition, then assign a new disk Then, select the disk attribute, generally default to NTFS, and finally complete.

New partition size

Disk properties default to NFTS
such a new partition is completed, is it very simple? No other third-party tools, through the Win8 system itself You can do it, and friends who are ready to partition will try it out.

New Partition Completed
Of course, if you want to merge this partition into the previous disk someday, you can delete the volume first and then merge the free space by "extension volume".
