In Windows 8, the desktop is seen as a powerful application, while the immersive experience of other applications allows users to focus on their current work. However, the problem at the same time is whether the push of new news will affect the concentrated work, and whether the message is completely blocked will miss important content. The length of the message reminder varies from person to person. Therefore, the settings for application message reminders are particularly important.
By default, Windows 8 enables all supported application message reminders. When a new message arrives, a message will pop up at the top right of the screen to remind the user that a new message has arrived. Click the message to switch to the corresponding application. View, click to close will stop the reminder.

When we are focusing on a job and don't want to be disturbed by some similar messages, we can close the message reminder. In the case of opening a message, it is also possible to set whether the lock screen prompts the message and whether the message sound is played. If you block all messages directly, you are worried that you will miss some important content, such as mail. We can turn on the global message reminder, set a separate setting for an app, and turn on the message reminder for the app. This setting is also in the “message” setting.

In addition to setting the above content, there is also an easy to ignore content —— message reminder duration: too short time will be thinking or daze Ignore the reminder of the message, too long will affect the display of the current screen. The notification duration can be set in the drop-down menu of "Pushbutton"-“Settings -“Change Computer Settings"-“Easy Use”-“Show Notifications” Can be between 5s-5min.
The settings can also be made through the “Control Panel“-”Easy to use“-” to make it easier for you to pay attention to the task<quo;-”Windows notification dialog should be open How long? & ldquo; Make settings.
In addition to setting up the app, the traditional notification area setting is not canceled under the desktop app. It can be set by the icon and notification of the taskbar tray, and the displayed icon will appear in the taskbar tray.

Windows 8 is a multi-platform compatible operating system, and the challenges are still huge. Although it can already run on different platforms, there is still room for improvement in its user experience. For example, the notification setting in this article can well set the different reminders in detail, and the function is relatively complete. However, the location of the settings is really not perfect —— the notifications applied to the desktop are set according to different categories, and the settings in the "easy to use" are easily overlooked and not perfect.
