Win8 will bundle anti-virus software anti-virus software company protest

Microsoft has quietly announced that Windows 8 will bundle anti-virus protection components, unlike Windows 7, which requires manual download of Security Essentials. Users have been criticizing Windows for being unsafe for years, and this will increase system security. But for security companies that have benefited from Windows security vulnerabilities for years, the news is shocking, and the lucrative security industry is facing a reshuffle.

Sophos believes that the more secure Win8 is good for consumers, but it will hurt security companies like Sophos. Microsoft's new initiative should not be identical to the bundled IE browser more than a decade ago.
