Tips: What is "System Refresh" and "System Reset" &

System Refresh: Win8 will retain personalization, personal files, drivers and through the Windows Store The installed application, remove other applications, and restore to the default state. Simply put, the effect is equivalent to the recovery of Ghost backup.

System reset: The system is completely reinstalled, delete all other files of non-system programs, and re-install the new system after execution. The entire reload operation is fully automated and requires no user intervention and operation.

1. Extract the image file to prepare the system to refresh

The system refresh and reset by default requires the support of the Win8 installation CD. First, you need to extract the installation image file “install.wim” to the local hard disk. For backup preparation.

Download the Win8 installation file (ISO format) and place it on the D drive. Right-click on the ISO file and select “Load” to load it into the virtual drive. Then, click “Virtual Drive\\sources\\install.wim&rdquo”. ; Extract to E disk for backup. Then start the command prompt as an administrator and enter “reagentc /setosimage /path e: /index 1”, the screen prompts "Operation succeeds" (see Figure 1).

The system refresh function does not delete the user's personal files, so for users who have a system failure and do not want to lose personal files, this You can use this feature to quickly recover. The system reset function operates similarly (just select different menus). The following is a detailed explanation of the recovery process by taking the system refresh as an example.

If Win8 can also enter, enter the Win8 system and open the control panel, and then expand "Control Panel & Rarr; System and Security & Rarr; File History”, then click on “Reaset your PC” in the left pane. At this point, the recovery interface will pop up. Click the “Get Started” button after clicking “Refresh” to activate the system reset operation (see Figure 5).
