Windows 8 Start Menu Exposure

For Windows 8 features and interfaces, Microsoft has begun to show you gradually, but this speed is obviously not enough to satisfy everyone's curiosity. Fortunately, Microsoft inadvertently leaked a lot of Windows 8 content and these were discovered by careful people. Recently, another important part of the Windows 8 user interface has been exposed. It is the new “Start” menu.

In a video yesterday, Microsoft demonstrated the Windows 8 integrated virtual drive/hard drive function. It is in this video that Microsoft accidentally leaked the appearance of the new start menu. As you can see from the screenshot, the Start menu is the same as the other Windows 8 interface parts of the previous exposure, using the Metro design style. It's still a way of coexisting with icons and text, with just four options: settings, devices, sharing, and searching. However, there is still uncertainty as to this, as we are still not aware of whether this is the default setting for Windows 8 or the user's customization of the start menu.

Microsoft will host the BUILD Global Developers Conference in September, and we will be able to see more about Windows 8 at that time.

Since June, Microsoft has shown us a lot of Windows 8 interface features, to review the main features of the new system user interface:

— Title Slay Style Start Screen (Start Screen), the application can achieve faster startup, this screen replaces the original Windows start menu, users can also customize this start screen, and can browse an application in full screen;

— Notifications use the Live Title activity patch, allowing users to view the latest tips of the application at any time;

— smoother and more natural switching between applications;

— According to the screen, the application can be placed side by side and resized so that multiple windows can be viewed at the same time;

— When the HTML5 and JavaScript-based web application is activated, Windows will fade out quickly and fall back to the background. ;

— Fully optimized browsing operations for touch operations and IE10 for hardware acceleration.
