Windows 8 will integrate native virtual drive /hard drive function

In addition to drawing on the Ribbon UI of Office 2007, Windows 8 will integrate more features provided by previous third-party software —— just like Windows XP provided ZIP file management. Joining Windows 8 this time is that users can directly load ISO and VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) files in Windows Explorer.

The existing Windows operating system version includes Windows 7. To load an image file such as ISO, you can only install Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% virtual CD-ROM software to manage images such as ISO. In Windows 8, everything is much simpler. Simply select an ISO file in the Explorer and select it in the Ribbon interface above and click the "Mount" button. Windows 8 will instantly create a virtual drive and load the ISO image, giving the user access to the files. When you click "Eject" after the access is completed, the virtual drive will also disappear automatically.

Similar to ISO, VHD files will also be loaded in the same way, except for write permissions as well as hard disks. At this point, the “Pop-up” button will unload the VHD image and save all changes to the contents of the VHD file.

Of course, I believe that even if Windows 8 is officially available, there will be many users who choose third-party software management image files. After all, Windows 8 does not indicate whether it supports other formats such as mdf. But like burning a disc, sometimes the features that come with the Windows operating system are a simpler option.
