Microsoft closes Windows 8 program to prevent information leakage

Technology website CNET reports, WinRumors website revealed on Wednesday that Microsoft is closing the latest version of Windows 8 software to prevent unauthorized persons from installing the program and leaking details about the features. Sites such as WinRumors revealed additional details of the latest Windows 8 programs earlier this week. The latest program is clearly a preview version of the Windows 8 developer, and Microsoft may announce it at the Build Developers Conference next month.

In order to prevent unauthorized users from using the latest developer programs, Microsoft has apparently set up a unique product key, and only has a key to be allowed to install the operating system. According to Intel's internal mail message published by WinRumors, the generic product key previously included in the software is no longer applicable, and developers need to use a new special product key. Although the email is said to be from Intel, the technology website The Next Web believes that this new measure is not just for Intel.

WinRumors also said that in order to prevent new program leaks in the future, Microsoft also took measures to prevent users from invading DLL files and revealing hidden feature information.
