Grafting the Windows 8 Metro interface to Firefox

At the D9 and Computex 2011 conferences we saw the Windows 8 immersive (Immersive) user interface, which has been fully applied to the Metro style that has been used in Windows Phone 7. Windows 8 is out. Developers are now busy copying the Metro style interface to Windows 7, but it will take a while.

Developers from DeviantART were inspired by the Windows 8 Start menu to develop a Metro style start page for the Firefox browser. This start page is created with HTML+CSS+jQuery and is highly customizable. You can create a start page for your own browser by simply editing the links in the XML file.
